Mavelania makes leather goods by hand — bags, wallets, card holders, phone cases and the small pieces that go with them. One material, worked properly, in shapes meant to be carried every day.
The material
We work in genuine leather. It is a natural material, so no two hides are identical — grain, pores and tone shift from one piece to the next, and the same model can read slightly differently in two people's hands. That is not a flaw to be corrected. It is why leather is worth using: it takes on the marks of the person carrying it and becomes theirs.
How a piece is made
Cutting, construction and edge finishing are done by hand. Edges are sealed and burnished rather than left raw, seams are stitched to hold under daily load, and hardware is set so it stays quiet in use. This is slower than machine production and it is the reason our range stays small.
RFID protection
RFID is a technology that lets a card transmit information over radio frequency. Our wallet and card holder models that carry RFID protection include a shielding layer that blocks that transmission until you take the card out. Not every model includes it — where it is present, it is stated on the product page.
What we make
The collection is organised by what a piece is for rather than by season. Nothing is released to fill a calendar.
